Hersenwetenschapper Maartje de Jong (Eindhoven, 1981) werkt als onderzoeker bij het Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging in Amsterdam. Ze studeerde biologie en neurowetenschappen en promoveerde op een onderzoek naar hoe het brein visuele waarnemingen verwerkt. In januari 2015 kreeg ze een hersenstaminfarct, waarna ze ruim een week locked-in was.

In Juli 2017 ben ik 'met genoegen' afgestudeerd aan de opleiding HBO bachelor of science, Oefentherapie Cesar met als minor Oncologie. In 2017 startte ik mijn eigen praktijk de Jong Oefentherapie en ben ik daar als oefentherapeut werkzaam. Ondertussen in 2023 bevindt de Jong Oefentherapie zich in een prachtig medisch centrum met veel mooie samenwerkingen.
